Modified Roof Repairs Completed In Bristol, TN

When roofing homes, it is extremely important to know what roofing materials are necessary for lower slope roofs.

We were called out to this beautiful home here in Bristol, TN to estimate for roof repairs. They had active roof leaks throughout the rear patio roof and around two skylights. Upon the roof inspection, we noticed the roof pitch of the patio is at a 2/12 pitch. The roof had dimensional shingles with felt paper underneath. This patio roof was not to code. We tore off the shingles and felt paper. Repaired the damaged rafters and roof sheathing from the water damage. Removed the skylights and built up the skylight framing from 2" to 6" for proper elevation/flashing. We then installed a double ply base sheet with a self adhering granulated base cap. The new modified roofing is installed 6" up the side wall of the siding and skylights. New curb mount Velux Skylights were installed to complete the roof repairs. No more leaks for these homeowners!
